Selection Process of RRB Recruitment
The recruitment process for RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories posts shall involve Single Stage CBT, Performance Test/Teaching Skill Test, Translation Test (as applicable), and DV/Medical Examination.
Computer-Based Test
Name of exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Date of exam: To be updated later
- Mode of exam: Online (CBT)
- Duration of exam: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates who are availing the Scribe facility)
- Total number of questions: 100
- Type of questions: Multiple Choice Question
- Standard of questions: The standard of questions for the Single Stage CBT will be generally in conformity with the educational standards prescribed for the posts
- Negative marking: There shall be negative marking @1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
- Pass marks: minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various communities: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (non-creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, and ST-25%. These percentages of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.
- Normalization: The normalized marks scored by the candidate in the CBT shall be used for shortlisting the candidates for the performance test/teaching skill test, translation test, and DV (as applicable) for the posts.
